While sitting innocently reading mnetting on the couch this afternoon, my shoulder/ upper arm started to get sore. It felt like a pinching pain in the muscle. It's gradually got worse and now I'm lying in bed with it aching, waiting for ibuprofen to kick in. Dr google and some texting to an old gym buddy suggests it might be my rotator cuff ( gym buddy had similar pain in similar spot when she did hers in). I'm baffled if it is though. I did some light (5kg) dumbbell shoulder presses and battling ropes last Monday, 1km front crawl on weds, and pilates (mainly core and legs) yesterday morning. Otherwise I've been running or walking. All was fine. I was doing nothing more strenuous than holding my kindle when the pain started.
I'll call a physio for an appt on Monday but other than ice, rest and anti inflammatories, does anyone know if I should/n't do anything in particular? Would a run tomorrow evening be a bad idea?
