How much exercise kit do you own?

Started out at the gym nearly 3 years ago and owned a bar of saggy tracksuit bottoms - I don't dare tot up what I own now but it's way too much Blush And I still find myself reading threads about which leggings or trainers are best and find myself online ordering more!

I have a a drawer for excerise clothing. Plus another for odd bits and pieces like cap, belt, reflectors etc.

Quite a lot - I swim, run and bike, so thats three different sets of stuff, plus wetsuits, change robes, winter and summer shoes (and on/off road)....

I have one draw for Cycling tops, rain coats, wind fronted jackets one draw for gym tops and bottoms, another draw for Cycling bottoms shorts and thermal tights, snoods, helmet gloves & mitts

Not just me then Grin Mine is all gym stuff and it hangs in the wardrobe - takes up a third of a triple door wardrobe. Just typed that and realised it's more like two thirds as there are hoodies and a couple of sweatshirts behind one of the other doors. 5 pairs of trainers too which I rotate and I actually haven't bought trainers for about a year.

My wardrobe consists of gym clothes and PJ’s, I panic if anyone asks me out for lunch (what do I wear?). I have 5 pairs of trainers, some for running outside, some for the gym and some for walking/trail.

I have a pair of yoga pants I wear around the house and think I've a pair of trainers knocking around somewhere.

Tipsntoes · 06/01/2018 15:57

Far more than I do "proper" clothes, but still not enough. I often can't find anything clean.

Badgerlady · 06/01/2018 18:43

Just done an audit:
Cycle tops: two high vis; two base layers; one summer jersey (I cycle to work everyday)
Running tops: four short sleeve; two long sleeve
Other tops for gym / yoga: two
Long leggings for cycling: two
Capri leggings: four
Running shorts: two
Running shoes: four (in my defence one pair are worn or and so for cycling and gym stuff; I rotate two of the others; the final pair was a sale bargain which I'm keeping until one of my regular pairs wears out).

BUT the exact piece I want always seems to be in the wash...

This is my indoor kit drawer, and then I have a cupboard with jackets, footwear, wetsuit in etc.
I like to wear bright colours!

Too much! A whole big drawer for my running clothes, plus another for things like belts, watch, buffs etc. Various bits of exercise equipment tucked up corners too. I don’t use half the clothes but still am always tempted to buy more, and races often add a t shirt to the collection too.

We're not counting stuff like special skate bearing oil, or helmets, right?

5 swimsuits, 2 prs swim goggles, zillion swim hats

3 prs cycling shoes, 1 pr cycle shorts, ~4 or so tops, 2 water res. jackts, zillion gloves

4 prs running trainers, 3 run bottoms, zillion neckbuffs, 3 prs sleeves, only 1 run top. 1 pr running socks -- unused, Xmas present from DS.

Only one pr of skates, though, 1 x pr wrist guards.

Much of that stuff is 5-10-20+ yrs old. Other items were free or gifts.

glow1984 · 06/01/2018 21:32

Wow, all I have is a few leggings, a couple of sports bras and some t shirts! I mainly do just yoga.

lljkk · 06/01/2018 21:39

oh yeah... nork control. I have Only one such bra.
And a heart rate monitor.

Guestimate, I spent in last 2 yrs, maybe £90 on swim goggles (hard to find good ones) and ? £385 on everything else. 1 pr Cycling shoes (£80?) & 1 x commuter jacket (£70?) were big single purchases.

Pool membership is £21 a month, blows all other costs away.

Sainsbury's is selling exercise-fashion clothes in child sizes. Eek.
