What other exercise do you combine with Couch 25k/running

Currently on Wk 6 Run 2 of Couch25k and feeling the need/motivation to do some other activity to tone etc. What else is good, ideally from comfort of own home - other apps etc.

Body coach stuff on YouTube is a good supplement to running. Definitely improves your core strength.

I pretend to use an app called 8fit. It's great for core and strength and needs no equipment

I do Pilates. It’s the only way that I keep myself strong enough to run.

I see a PT fortnightly where we do a lot of weights and HIIT circuits. I also try to get to a yoga class at least once a week (have really noticed in class my hamstrings have got much tighter since running more). And I’ll try to fit in some weights etc at home the week I don’t see my PT, Fitness Blender is my go to for guidance here.

The Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is good, and it's quick, so not too difficult to fit into a busy schedule. When I briefly found a bit of motivation to get fit I would alternate runs with 30DS workouts. They're on YouTube

Swimming and lots yoga stretches have helped me. But as I run further (10k+) I need to add more strength based stuff so the 30 Day Shred is good for that.

weights, hiit, barre workouts, all from home. Have a look on youtube and fitness blender.
