Any recommendations? Used to attend a class but lack of time & money means I haven't been in ages and really feel the lack. I'm not super-experienced so nothing too hard core.

PILAtesbygeorgia.com has brilliant routines all free, inc ante and post natal and sport specific. Fully qualified Physio as well as Pilates instructor, so all done properly and safely. Some HIIT on there too for variety.

I've just had a look at Pilates by Georgia. The sessions look good. Quite different from the polished, ultra-toned/slender instructors one normally sees on fitness videos......

Thanks for the recommendation Bagel I did one of Georgia's videos this morning :)

She is a madly busy mum of three who works in a few Physio clinics and is setting up the Pilates on more of a business footing and has just moved into the house they recently built, so it is all very realistic. She also likes food and gin and doesn't want to give them up. Always telling us the aim is to be strong and fit not vanishingly skinny!

Btw I am not Georgia but have been to her classes pre and post three sections, can go on a trampoline without fear, and still have actual abs, for which I am very grateful!

She sounds great! I hope she gets some exposure through MN. I now need to get off my butt and start doing some of the videos!

BagelDog · 15/09/2017 07:46

That is the hard part! I am always better in the classes as I can't hide, or stop, or fiddle with my hair.....

Not strictly Pilates, but I'm a big fan of Beachbody's PiYo workout: www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/best_sellers/piyo-workout.do

It combines yoga and Pilates for a great low impact workout!

Thanks all for the suggestions! I got the Darcy one and am really enjoying it, although doing the full thing with warm up/cool down takes a good hour so it does require a bit of negotiating to get the TV rights!! It's nice and easy going, just right for me at the moment but I can see myself needing something a bit tougher in a couple of months.
