Couch to half marathon

Hi there - I've signed up to a half marathon in 6 months time. I'm generally very unfit and have had some injuries preventing me from starting training until now.

Can anyone give me an idea of how long it will take to get from zero exercise to half marathon? I'm hoping I'll have enough time, but if I have to walk/limp through some of it, that's ok. Just trying to manage my own expectations.

Any advice would be great Smile

The bupa running websites have training plans for various distances. You might find your answer there.

6 months will probably be ok. You can start with a training plan or do couch to 5k first (there are lots of apps) and then work up from there. Magazines like Women's Running and Runners World will also have plans. Good luck!
