Is there such a thing as an APP

That does a bit of running, then push ups, then running, then sit ups etc

Sorry to sound dense but it's all new to me.

Am one run away from finishing the couch to 5k - woo hoo. Would like to carry on - maybe with the 5k faster. Or the 10 k. But really want to combine exercise for tummy and arms with the running -

All the running is outdoors.

Just not sure what sort of App I am searching for? Is this circuits? Or interval? Or hiit? Have no idea what any of those actually are.

HIIT is High Intensity Interval Training, so is a form of Interval Training. Circuits are just a - err - circuit of different exercises you go round, so might be done as intervals or might not. Interval Training is where you push yourself as hard as possible then have a (short!) recovery period, then repeat over and over. So I don't think you're looking at "pure" interval training (unless it's gentle running for an active recovery), but an interval app would be useful to you.

There are infinite numbers of apps to time intervals, I would get one of those and decide a plan in advance - 30 seconds on/off of whatever exercises. (Google bodyweight exercises to get some more ideas if you need to - try to alternate so you do an upper body, a lower body, abs, upper body etc as you can keep going for longer if your muscles have longer to recover between sets). Then just use the timer. I have one called Tabata Timer which is great (Tabata is another form of interval training, but on the app you decide & set your own times). You might need a different one if you want different timings (like longer for running, less for the bodyweight exercises) but there is bound to be one out there.
