Fitbit app and phone compatibility

Thinking about buying a Fitbit but my (Motorola E3) phone is not on the list of phones that is compatible with the app. It's a modern Android phone (Android v6.0) so part of me thinks I'll take the risk and the chances are the app will probably run. But I wondered if any Fitbit users can advise whether I'm wrong?!

Also - if it can't run - what functionality would I actually lose by connecting it to my PC instead?

I have a Wiley Fox phone, which isn't on the list but is perfectly compatible. I think as long as it runs on a fairly new android, they should work.

You don't loose any functionality by syncing with a PC, other than you obviously can't sync when away from PC.

Thanks Blue - that's reassuring enough for me. Going to give it a try.
