Recommendations for cheap but good running shoes please

My asics that I bought in the next sale last year and have just started wearing (because I've just started running) have been cutting my heels to pieces. I'm attempting my first 5k next week but know I won't manage it in those. Am also pretty skint at the moment. Any recommendations for very purse friendly but decent running shoes please?

To maxx are good, I got a pair of sauchony trainers there for £16.99

You could have a look on sportsshoes.com, they sell older ranges of shoe for lower prices

Thank you!

You might just need better running socks?

I had thought about that but thanks for the suggestion. I think there's a flaw with the shoes (not sure if it's just my pair or in general). There seems to be a ridge at the back on closer inspection that I wish I'd taken note of earlier!

Another very it's for TK Maxx, if you time it right you can get some real bargains on great running shoes.

I can't imagine buying without trying on first. Anyway, I go to Sports-Direct.

Children's sizes?

Sketchers have a sale! I just bought a pair of running trainers for £37 free delivery

Decathlon.
Really this is one thing you should spend a bit of money on. If you go to a proper running shop they will check your gait to see if you have over pronation or not. No need to buy .
You will be amazed how easier it is to run with a properly fitted pair of shoes.
Sermon over, as you were. Wink

I will spend a bit when I have a less costly month but need something cheap and decent to keep me going.

Thanks!
