injury after event

I didn't know whether to post this here or general health but here seems more appropriate.

I did an organised event at the weekend that really pushed me to my limits and I've come away from it with a knee injury. It is extremely painful and not improving despite rest, ice, compression and anti inflammatorys. Should I go to the GP or minor injuries? I've never had to deal with this before Confused

Thanks

Minor injuries, be there first thing tomorrow as they open.

Don't go hiking on it for a week thinking it will be fine, exacerbating it to such an extent it needs surgery 🙄 (my mother, I hasten to add, not me)

OK thanks MrsBadger, I think I will follow your advice, regular pain killers aren't really touching it now.

If it's really unbearable do go tonight, or to A&E, but I find early-morning visits have served me well for getting X-rays etc done straight away rather than out of hours.
