Pretty muddy 5k

Some friends have dropped out last minute and offered tickets to my friend and me, it's for tomorrow.
I'm not fit, haven't exercised since having 2 kids. But it sounds like fun and I'm interested. I have run 5k before but a few years ago now.
Has anyone done it before? What is it like? Can anyone manage it? Thanks in advance for any advice! Grin

Yes go for it. It's all very relaxed. You can just jog slowly/walk whenever you like. It's certainly not a 'race' as such.
You can go around the obstacles if you don't fancy them, if you do them you will get filthy so wear old clothes and trainers.
Good luck!

Ps there were loads of people walking the whole thing when I did it so don't worry about that.

It's fantastic fun! I am early sixties, not particularly fit but did it last year and the sense of achievement was tremendous. All ages, shapes and sizes and levels of fitness taking part so you can take it fairly easy and still not be at the back. It's a staggered start as well so you will get lapped by fitter runners - no-one cares.
Any obstacles you don't fancy you can go round, I only missed one but that was more to do with my problem with heights than the difficulty.
And as suggested, use kit you don't mind getting ruined, it gets very very mucky out there! Will be doing another soonSmile

Ok thanks! My friend will just check that it's ok to transfer tickets but perhaps we will register ourselves anyway! It sounds very good!

If you can jog/walk 5k you will be fine. Obstacles more muddy than scary and limited upper body strength required.
