Gym referral from GP

Do GPs still offer gym referrals? I'm very overweight (4 stone to loose ) I can't afford gym membership. The area I live in the lowest membership is £45pm with a minimimum term and I am currently job hunting i also don't drive so can't make the 10 mile drive to the nearest lower price gym. If not can anyone give me some tips? I have ankle issues so I'm not able to jog which I used to love.

Yeah that one works! I use the Just Dance and the exercise routines preloaded on my fitbit. I bought a couple of dumbells too. I also run, but I only started running for the last 3 months
