I did the NHS one a few years ago and it worked but then I got lazy again and haven't run for a loooong time.

I'd like to get back into it but am sure there's newer apps now, the one thing I didn't really like about the NHS one was the music, I'd rather hear either 'real' tunes or select my own.

A quick google search tells me there's LOADS to choose from! Please let me hear what you'd recommend, I can't decide! Or should I just stick with Laura? Grin

I liked Laura Smile

The music is naff, but it did help with pacing. I still use the C25k+ podcasts.

I'd actually like more podcasts like those but can't find any. I quite like being coached through rather than bleeped at.

That wasn't helpful was it!

No that's ok, I'm thinking I might just get to know her again! She motivates without shouting at you Grin It's only 9 weeks so hopefully I'll stick to it and be listening to my own tunes in no time

Mine is called get running and I have my own music with, in my opinion, the right amount of encouragement over the music which is faded a bit when she is talking. I paid around £3 for it I think.

I also like the progress tracking image at the bottom of the home screen.

Looking at the settings I see you can pause your own sound for audiobooks if you want and you can have less coaching.

I have just started the NHS one and you can listen to your own music at the same time. There's a button with musical notes on it at the bottom of the screen that lets you access your tunes.
