A mile a day in May

DevilsAdvocaat · 01/05/2017 08:29

I'm going to try and run (at least) a mile a day in May!

I've done C25K previously and can just about still run 5k (on a very good day with the wind behind me). I fancy a new challenge and I think this will be manageable with my hectic life!

Anyone want to join me? Smile

I'm not sure that's going to be quite the right approach for me, but do you mind if I camp out on this thread? I've been skipping too many runs (partly because of the hols) and really want to get back into the swing of it. Perhaps not daily, but at least 4x a week for me.

And yes, I did run today.

DevilsAdvocaat · 02/05/2017 18:29

Hi!

Yes of course Smile

AuntieStella · 03/05/2017 07:03

Not regular days at the moment.

But I ran on Monday, and did a long walk yesterday, so covering the ground

DevilsAdvocaat · 03/05/2017 07:07

I think I can do it!
The only day I'm worried about is Friday as the call to the pub after work is so strong!

Can't face running first thing tho. I just get too dizzy!

Can you build a brisk walk somewhere into Friday? Call it your weekly rest day, but cover the a different pace?

DevilsAdvocaat · 03/05/2017 20:36

I'm working from home this Fri afternoon so can deffo squeeze in a run!
Will plan each Friday so I don't wriggle out of it Grin

A lot of primary schools do a mile day (walking or running) after assembly or after lunch. That's kids between 4 and 11 yo.

DevilsAdvocaat · 04/05/2017 23:35

Are you trying to make a point?! Grin
My challenge is suitable for children!

I'm enjoying the challenge.
