When do you fit exercise in with young children?

I need to get back to some exercise but I always find myself thinking I'll just do this, this & this first & then it doesn't happen. By the time the dc's are in bed I'm knackered. Work until 1.30pm mon-fri & then not long before school run.
When do you do your exercise?

I'm like a stuck record but check out fitness blender on YouTube.

Amazing variety of workouts of different lengths and difficulty.

I am also too knackered/lacking in motivation by the evening. Get up early (40mins early say) and do a video. If you are getting back into exercise, choose the Hiit ones. You can also buy programmes very cheaply which give you a calendar of workouts.

Otherwise I go for a run early. I agree that after work and before school is a short time and also involves doubling up on shower/getting ready whereas morning slots avoid that.

I go to a running club one evening a week and Bootcamp another evening. Fits in after bedtime and because it's a class I feel like I make more effort than going out on your own which is so easy to put off.

Once a week I swim whilst dd has her lesson. I also do one class at the sports centre (street dance/ step/ yoga- mix it up so not boring) and one gym session when they are in bed. DH plays squash twice a week so whoever gets to the calendar first to write their activity gets to have their exercise time! I also do a brisk school run (50 mins) 3-4 times a week walking.

Honey1975 I use Flex TV. They built me a workout programme and I'm in a tribe with a few friends. 3 HIIT/Yoga workouts a week.

I started with 1 a week then built it to 2, then to 3.

Every couple of weeks I'll do a shared one too.

They're all about taking time for yourself, making slight edge decisions and slotting in regular power packed classes.

It's 4 miles from my son's nursery to my office and we have showers in the basement. Lots of run commutes.
