Running in the morning

Hi,
I started running in May amd lived running at 8:30-9:30 ish as the sun set. It was lovely.
Now it is dark and where I run is an unlit greenway.
So, I'm left with running in the morning before the school run at 6am.
I am not a morning person.
Sigh.
How do you become a morning runner?

The privacy at that hour is lovely. And you feel virtuous is shattered for the rest of the day.

Try a sun-light alarm clock, mine is amazing even in the depths of dark early winter mornings. (Disclaimer: I use it to get up for work not to run)

I love it, but I have stopped morning runs as I can't get warmed up adequately.

I need time to literally warm up and get going. I'm not getting up at 5.30 for that!

I run in the evenings instead. Head torch on. Marvellous.

I used to sleep in my sports bra, t-shirt & knickers so all I had to do in the morning was put in my running leggings, socks & trainers. As I was already in my bra, there was no way I could NOT go for a run as that would have been embarrassing (even if I was the only one who knew about it).

Thanks again for this!
I ran this morning and it was brilliant.
I then felt tired all day though, sigh.
Love the sports bra adviceBlush

I sleep in kit too!
Turn off alarm. Stagger out of bed. Shoes and accessories on. Exit house.

Return, shower, feel like a goddess Wink

I did a 5:30 event this summer. By 6:30 I was driving back from town wearing my medal. I showed off shamelessly at work all day!
