new runner with underwear issues

Please advise! I've managed to do two runs a week for the last two months and am really enjoying it, but my last few runs have been hampered by really painful underwear/ legging issues around my bits. I've ended up having to stop to rejig every few minutes and it's felt really frustrating and stopped me getting on with things. Any advice on what leggings/ underwear I can buy? (Cheap options preferred please!) thank you!

I have karrimor leggings/ shorts from sports direct (think they were around £10 each). I don't wear underwear for the reasons you state-I seem to spend more time rejigging and getting annoyed than anything else, so I just go commando.

Oh, and my shorts have a built in gusset so it still feels like underwear.

Thanks, I'll have a look at Karrimor ones. I've found some seamless exercise pants that say they don't chafe so have ordered a pair. I think my cheap primary leggings were a false economy Blush

I have decathlon pants. Commando isn't an option as DS2 was a bit brutal with me...

I wear men's running shorts with the little string bag bit inside?! Anyway, no chafing.. and deep pockets (bonus).

Thanks both. Commando isn't an option for me either, will check out decathlon pants and I hadn't thought of men's shorts, that might work!

A short term solution is Vaseline. Put some where you're most likely to chafe.

The pants that Decathlon sell are Kalenji, I have some and they are brilliant, cost about £5. I've had a double mastectomy with Diep reconstruction (so tummy tuck) and everything below has lifted and still has post on fluid. leaving me with a noticeable (to me, anyway) camel toe! All my other pants really rubbed me to the point I was wearing sanpro for protection! But the Kalenji pants are super comfy and stay in place.
