C25K v HIIT

Just wondering which is better for generally getting fitter and shifting a bit of weight?

I'm 2 weeks in to c25k and not hating it, whereas whenever I've tried anything remotely like HIIT, I've found it really hard and not at all enjoyable. However a personal trainer relative has said that HIIT would be more effective.

Any thoughts or experience? Thanks

The most effective one will be the one you stick at Grin

Personally, I find hiit to be a great calorie burner and good for improving my fitness but it wasn't a class I attempted until I'd got myself up to a reasonable fitness level. Maybe stick with the c25k as you enjoy it more and then try a hiit class when you're fitter to see if you enjoy it more then. No reason why you couldn't combine the both.

They're for different training goals really. C25k is about building endurance and hit is about burning fat. However both will help you get fitter in the long run.
