BodyCombat and BodyPump

Had my first class today and loved it, sweated a lot, felt like I'd had a workout. But...apart from burning cals, how should it help me? Should I see tone anywhere?

And could I handle a bodypump class if i dont really lift more than 6-8kg when i'm in the gym solo?

I always used bodycombat as more of a CV workout than a toning workout. Bodypump is much more for toning. At my gym the lightest weight is 1kg and the heaviest is 10kg. There are a mixture of hand weights to use of weights to load onto a bar so providing your place has the right equipment you could still do the class. You'll be surprised how much you can lift if you go frequently. I warm up with 10kg and go up to about 20-25Kg during the class.
