Recommendations for running machine

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good running machine. I have been looking online and I am bamboozled at the range. Are there any must haves? I would be looking to spend around £250

We've just invested in a secondhand Nordic Track (I think that's what it's called) from EBay for about £500 (plus van hire to bring it home as it's enormous). I asked my PT for advice, and he suggested treadmills in the region of £500-£1000 would be best as the cheaper ones burn out very quickly, so you'd need to replace regularly.

There's no way I could have justified ours at a brand new price, but it's worth looking around on Gumtree or eBay - especially now if people are looking to free up some cash for Xmas!
