Mortifying first ever post.

I'm training for a 10k race, my first one, I've hit 8.8k today and all is going well. Except I keep getting a really sweaty butt. It's difficult to ignore and I end up having to publicly give myself a wedgie iyswim.

Any one else get this? Amy yips?
I wear long black running gear- is this causing it?

What about during the actual race day with loads of people around.

It's really distracting me from my run and would love to sort it.

Thanks

Try spraying/ applying antiperspirant liberally over 'hot' bit before you stat !! It's the Lycra probably !! Ideally you'd use something more breathable !! Confused

Don't worry too much about it. No one else in the race will notice as they will all have their own sweaty situations to deal with! But wearing better knickers might help. Try 'runderwear' which wick the sweat away better than normal cotton ones.

Wicking underwear. If anything is chafing some Bodyglide.

What are your undies like?

I've got a few pairs of pants from Decathlon which are great. They're close fitting which is good if I'm wearing a pad.

Cotton is worst as it holds moisture.

Cotton is worst?! Ahhh that might be it. Brilliant suggestions thankyou all such for replying. Will be applying anti perspirant from now on and will purchase some proper running pants. Thankyou
