How can it be so difficult to buy running socks! I don't know what I need/want.
So many different types of them I'm baffled...
I run around 10k in asics trainers

Lidl running socks are excellent value and quality

MoreMile are very good too and reasonably priced too.

I've tried some of the very expensive brands and TBH I don't know what you're getting extra for the money.

Main thing is to avoid cotton towelling "sports" socks and remember to wear thin socks of you're going to get wet (or you feet get really heavy!)

I like Hilly socks.

I'm a big fan of the More Mile ones from Start Fitness. I don't like very thick socks, but I do like a little padding in all the right places. They are good value too, usually work out at £2-3 a pair because they nearly always have deals on them.

I just use cheap thin cotton ones from out local market.

Our not out, blasted autocorrect!

Hilly socks are excellent, but my favourite are injini toe socks, look bizarre, they are like gloves with each toe separate but they are awesome, not strictly relevant for a 10 k but I have done many hours of fell running with no blisters. Especially good if you get any rubbing between your toes. Also if you have tween age children you can wear them with flip flops for maxi embarrassment.

Thank you.
I got a pr from Aldi and some more miles ones. So far so good!

another vote for toe socks, I'm a recent convert and I foresee using them exclusively from now on.
You can get some really thin ones:)
really helped on the blister front!

Ah I've just ordered some of the toe socks as I'm intrigued by these!!! Wink
