Lower back pain

Can anyone recommend exercises or stretches for lower back pain? I think it is caused by bad form in body pump but I am not willing to give this class up, I will however have the instructor look at my squat technique. Just walking for 10 minutes and my lower back is really uncomfortable but I just put up with it and carry on. Same goes for running, especially up hill. Should I see a physio or chiropractor? Would a sport massage help?

Yoga exercises like the bridge and cat are good for stretching and gently strengthening the lower back.

What is your core strength like? I have a bad lower back and am really working on building strength in my abdominal muscles to try to support and take pressure off my poor lower back.

Might be worth seeing a physio, as they can give you specific exercises to strengthen and support that area. Not personally a believer in chiropractors...
