Another headphones question

I have good headphones for running, wrap around in-ear ones that importantly, stay put. But I think I might be doing my hearing some damage with them as I'm getting ringing in my ears. I run on paths beside busy enough roads so to hear my podcasts, I have the volume up too high. I was thinking of getting something like these but I'm not sure how awkward they'd feel running. I'm not terribly keen on the huge cost of noise cancelling headphones.

Any suggestions for decent ear/headphones for noisy runs?

I've never found the answer and I've tried various headphones over the years, I just turn whatever I'm listening to off until I'm somewhere quieter.

I find the same with the wind, if it's very windy I can hear bugger all!

Really? That's what I feared... oh well.

Some Klipsch S3s or S4s with the cord wrapped around your ear should work fine for running and have good sound exclusion. They're reasonably priced on Amazon, usually.
