Trigger ball or spiky massage ball?

Was about to purchase 3 trigger point balls of different firmnesses, then saw a set of spiky massage balls - which do you think are better?

I'm getting very tight hamstrings, back etc. Have a foam roller but want a ball to roll on floor or wall.

I guess the balls grip better than the spiky ones?

I have a spikey ball that the physio gave me and I prefer it to the trigger point balls that my trainer has at the gym.

What do you prefer about it?

Does it grip of rolling on a wall?

I think it's the smaller, sharper pressure points that I like. I have very tight aductors and ITB so use it mainly on those areas and my bum and find the varied pressure good. If I want a more sustained pressure, I just use my fist and have a good dig in. I don't usually use it against the wall, so I'm not sure about that!

Thanks, ordered a set of 4 different sizes as I realised different sizes might be of more use than the different firmnesses of the trigger ones :)
