Hi, 17 days to go, wondering if anyone wants to panic/procrastinate/get excited with me?
Can't believe its almost here, I'm into tapering now and enjoying the rest, a mere 12 mile run to do this weekend.
It's my first marathon so am rather nervous.
Anyone else?

Not doing VLM but will be doing Brighton on Sunday. I am currently terrified as it is my first. My head is racing with lots of thoughts about whether I have done enough training and have I been eating too much over Easter!

The taper feels very weird and it surprised me that those 'short' runs of 12/13 miles are still hard.

I'm VLMing! Did my 20 mile run last weekend. Am alternating between giddy excitement to excruciating fear of THE WALL.. Never happened yet, reckon if I fuel correctly and it's not too hot on the day I should be okay.. First marathon too for me :) good luck to both of you.. (I may need it!)

Hi both of you. Sunday is very close. Cannot imagine how I'll feel when it's 3 days away! All the luck in the world for a good run.

I'm also worrying I havent done enough training but keep reminding myself it's too late now either way. I think my long runs have been fine but during the week I havent been doing much long or targeted running, just getting out 3 or so times mid week and doing 3-5 miles.

My current panic is around the weather! It's really warm out there today.

Are either of you hoping for a time in particular? I have no idea what will happen on the day really but would like to be somewhere near 4.30 ideally. I don't want to end up disappointed though so just finishing is the main aim.

And yes the 'short' runs still feel hard to me too

Hello! I'm coming from Australia to do VMLM. Major excitement here, can't wait to get on the plane. Did 23 miles last weekend and now tapering nicely. Just don't want it to rain on the day, that would cause me a big problem!

Wow that is exciting! I hope you don't get too jet lagged. Rain would probably be better for me than too hot but really just hoping for overcast and about 10-12 if I'm allowed to choose the weather! Maybe with the sun coming out as I finish :-)
