Has anyone been diagnosed with this? What was the treatment and how long were you unable to exercise?

I had this a few years ago, I didn't run or do high impact stuff for six weeks. After the first week I used a cross trainer (carefully) to keep cardio up, did yoga and some weights. My treatment was as much rest as possible which was difficult with my job, I limped a lot! I avoided painkillers for fear of causing more injury, I didn't have a cast/boot or anything. After the six weeks I did a few short runs, ready to stop if here was the slightest pain. I remember it being incredibly painful and very frustrating to deal with.

Thanks somanyvipers. Not as bad as I first thought, as Dr Google suggested 6 - 8 weeks doing nothing then another 2 months before being able to do any weight bearing exercise Sad. Should be able to keep up with the swimming and kettle bells I think.
