Spin bike for home use?

Was wondering if anyone had bought a spin bike for their own use at home? In my last job I went spinning at the gym 3-4x per week but I now have a 2h commute each way to work so would prefer to do some exercise at home (perhaps with a spin dvd). Saw this but the price seems too good to be true! Does anyone have any experience with this or other types of spin bike? Thanks Star

I would double check this is a spin bike rather than a normal exercise bike - nowhere on the page does it mention the word spin.

Though admittedly it does look like a spin bike

Dh has one to keep his fitness up during the winter fair weather road biker He bought it from ebay at a really good price. It was a better quality one than he would of bought new at half the price. There was quite a lot that were hardly used, bought on a whim and used for clothes storage. It's worth a look.

Thanks both Smile Furball ...I did wonder about that too but it's the flywheel that makes it a spin bike isn't it? I might call in to one of their stores to try it out!

Patter, have been keeping an eye out on eBay but nothing has come up in my area yet . I agree I'd get far more for my money there though!

The thing about spinning is that I find it is better in groups - it is harder to maintain or build the intensity when you are at home.

Well I've just ordered it - so will see - you get 5% off when you order and free delivery

I've used a turbo at home along with a DVD, it was hard going and I only did it the once. Dd2 used both turbo and rollers for training but also struggled alone.

Spin classes are great in a group and a good instructor that talks a lot keeps !e focus and time wizzes by.

Sorry to be negative

I recommend the Sufferfest training videos to keep motivated….I often use them on a Wattbike in the gym.
