have you been for a gait analysis?

highly recommended because we all have different foot-falls and shapes

what might be comfortable and supportive for one might be terrible on another

Inov8's all the way, buy last year's colours cheaper at wiggle. Com. They are the lightest most comfortable trainers ever, with the added bonus of helping you run as naturally as possible due to minimal support. I used to wear supportive, built up trainers and suffered knee and hip pain EVERY time I ran, haven't looked back since buying my lovely inov8's

Yep. Go to a running shop and get your gait analysed.

kittypinot · 22/03/2015 20:31

I had a gait done then went on www.sportsshoes.com/ and got a pair of Brooks GTS Adrenaline 12 for less than half the price. Only cos they were the previous years stock.

Nike Pegasus - lightweight and lovely and cushiony

twobambinos · 23/03/2015 17:36

Def agree with a previous poster no one shoe fits all . I currently have a nike Pegasus and don't like them at all only that I spent 100 euro on them I have to wear them. Before that I had skechers go run two pairs and they were lovely and light weight but felt I needed something with more cushioning for building up to longer runs. Best bet is try some on

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 23/03/2015 17:51

I like Brooks Ravenna, I'm a mild overpronator who likes a bit of support.

I agree with getting analysed, essential.
