Any buggy runners out there?

I used to be a regular runner pre-baby, and I've just started C25K running with DS in his buggy.

DH splashed out on a fancy running buggy (a BOB) but DS hasn't quite got the head control for it yet so we're just using his everyday buggy for now, which is OK whilst the C25K runs are quite short.

Anyone else out there taking their DCs along on their runs?

I want to but I have a bugaboo bee and I'm not sure it's u to the job.

We've got a Quinny Buzz which isn't really ideal but is good enough for running a couple of minutes at a time which is all that is needed for the first few weeks of C25k. But we gave the BOB a test run and it is so amazingly light to push, I can't wait for DS to get a bit bigger and stronger.

I think if I keep running like I am I'll have to try and pick one up 2nd hand.

Am a regular runner with my dc. I have a pre 2010 mountain buggy terrain which is superb for running on and off road. Have you tried tilting the buggy slightly on to its rear wheels only, it often makes for a smoother ride. Have been taking out my dc from age 10 weeks and tilting the buggy slightly does make for a less bumpy ride and the buggy is just as easy to push and steer!

Me and DD go out in a Baby Jogger Performance, it's brilliant, you barely notice you're pushing it and it doesn't slow you down much at all other than going round corners, the Bob should be pretty similar.

When DD got bigger, she stopped just falling asleep and we'd have a chat as we ran, and when doing Parkrun, she'd give lots of slightly patronising encouragement to the other runners...

Haha fredfred I love it! Good to hear they still enjoy it when they are a bit older. Once I've got back to 5ks I'm definitely going to give our local parkrun a go.
