How do I lose my belly?

I am small (size 8) but have a thicker waist making it hard to buy some clothes as just straight up and down. I call myself a thin apple...

I run but don't do much else but if I diet I lose weight from legs and they are already really skinny (and i love chocolate) Any advice? Am planning to do a half marathon so hoping that might help but think I will just lose weight not belly!

I have exercise DVDs but find it hard to do them and can't get out to classes as on my own and have children's activities to take them to.

Yoga. That's all.

Nospringflower · 29/01/2015 23:31

Really?! Have done yoga in past and enjoyed it but more as relaxation than belly busting Grin

Yes! Try Ashtanga Yoga.

Or...if you don't have a class near you then look for Hot Yoga. It's very specific and can adjust not only your posture but tighten the deepest muscles.

All of my friends who teach yoga have stunning bodies...for a good reason. I have 4 yoga teacher friends. Healthy, balanced people with great toned and not overly skinny bods.

I was told by a personal trainer in Australia that weight around the middle is generally attributed to sugar.

Sadly this definitely applies in my case.

Eh, guilty definitelyBlush. So is the idea that I stop eating sugar??!!
I thought it was a body type thing. Oh no!

The only thing that has worked for me is bikram yoga. Miraculous. I so run for Cardio and mix up distance and HIIT but it's bikram that sorts the toning. The problem of course is that you need to be able to get to a studio and it is quite expensive unfortunately.

30 Day Shred? Level 2 really nips my waist in. Don't know if Level 3 does as well because I've never made it that far. Level 2 has all these twisty bits that tones your waist.
