Hi
Any cyclists out there taking part in this on 12 October? I have signed up to do 100km and am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed as it feels like a long long way :-)

Hello Mumski, I'm doing the warwickshire event. There were a few of us who contributed to a thread on the run up to the Rapha womens 100 earlier this year which also lead to some of us sharing on strava.
Good luck for the 12th!

Thanks pipkin. Good luck for tomorrow. Are doing the 50k or 100k. I will pm you my name so you can look me up on strava. I would love to share with some other mums.

Hi Mumski, 100k for me too, should be a nice day for it!
I've got you on strava and pm'd my name.
Did you partake in the Rapha 100 in July? I went on the training ride they put on in June in the Peak District, can't speak highly enough of the organisation and hospitality, will definitely do it again next year (we did just over 60k with just over 1200 m climbing - to be expected in the Peaks!) and they said they will be running the training event again next year.

Warwickshire challenge was great, just a shame as the route came up short (93k)
I'll be at Lancs tomorrow as won one of the Halfords VIP guest spots so looking forward that! Let's hope weather stays ok.

Hi pipkin
Thanks for adding me on strava.
Good to see you enjoyed the breeze challenge last Sunday. My you were fast, I don't think I will be averaging 17mph!
Looking forward to tomorrow but a bit apprehensive as my longest ride to date is only 50m and it killed me.
Weather forecasts are good and have just about persuaded DH to bring the boys down in time to see me crawl in. My dd is doing the 50k and is expecting to finish about the same time aswell so will be a family affair Smile
I will be riding a black giant invite cross bike with purple bar tape so say hi if you see me when you go whizzing past Grin

Hi Mumski, sorry I didn't see your post before the event or would have looked out for you.
You did fantastically well seeing as your longest ride was 50m - the route was certainly challenging at about the 60k point when we hit the hills! Scenery was stunning though, you're very lucky to be able to ride out there regularly. Hope your DD enjoyed the 50!
