Hi All,
I'm taking the big, brave step and joining the gym next week. Have got a referral from the GP and can use the gym/swimming pool for as much as I want for under £30 a month - bargain! I'm doing slimming world, have a long journey (need to lose another 123 pounds, having lost 23 1/2 so far!) and I'm getting married next August so really want to slim down and tone up! I'm pretty unfit as you would expect but love to swim and have been doing about 70 lengths a week for the past few months. Wondered if anyone had any tips for me, what I should aim for etc. Would be very grateful!

I got a gp referral to the gym..I've been going about 4 months . Its great and I feel better but don't look much different but not been dieting. I just follow the programme the instructor gave me...4 cardio machines (treadmill etc) then some weight machines. They have special sessions for go referral people but I just go when I can. Enjoy yourself!
