I'm a proper runner 
I've been running about 8 years, club member and I've done loads of races from 5k - Marathon. Not especially fast but respectable in my age group.
Recently I've got (a bit) involved with the Park Run movement. Our local one is only 4 months old but I've been using it for some speed-work, have volunteered a few times and my Dc are enjoying taking part.
The weekly newsletter has just dropped into my inbox. Every week it makes me cry. Full of heart warming stories about communities working together and runners of all ages and abilities supporting each other and overcoming adversity.
Please tell me I'm not the only one.
