Hi,

I've entered my local run for life in a couple of weeks. My 13year olds would like to do it too. I agreed as long as they could keep up with me for the full 5km when training...thinking it would put them off.

So they did it...in fact they were ahead of me all the way (I'm doinga C25K style run/walk interval).

if they enter do they have to be accompanied all the way round? Looking at the website it looks like under 15s must be accompanied on the 10K run but it doesn't mention the 5km run. Does this mean that they can run the 5km race at their own pace and not stick with me?

I can't imagine for a minute they would need to be accompanied the whole way round at 13. You will be somewhere nearby, so I'm sure it will be fine. Have fun!
