Sigh ... about this time last year I did C25K. Completed the programme, started doing 5K races, Parkrun etc etc and vowed I would stick with it and make it a central part of my life, not a thing to be endured in the interests of health. However, just before Christmas I had to abandon running altogether for six months (tedious medical reasons) and have put about a stone on and am feeling really lethargic and rather rubbish.
I can now start running again but was thinking about aiming for a 10K this time and doing one of the C210K programmes. I am hoping (although this might not be the case at all) that even though I haven't run for six months I won't have lost every little bit of fitness and so I might not find the early stages of run 60 secs, walk 60 secs etc quite so challenging this time round.
Has anyone done the C25K and just kept on running until a 10K was a feasible goal rather than what seems utterly impossible at the moment?
