I ran my longest distance yesterday 7.5k and endomondo app only recorded 2k - felt like throwing it in the lake!!!
Is there a more reliable app?

Thankyou

RunKeeper always worked best for me.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 30/05/2014 14:15

I love RunKeeper.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 30/05/2014 14:19

Just thought I'd check RunKeeper's reliability - I've done almost 200 runs using RunKeeper and had 4 where the GPS messed up (over-calculating my distance every time, never under-estimating for some reason)
I don't know how accurate MapMyRun is, but that's good too.
Both are free.

Mapmyride is pretty good, so I'm guessing their Run app is good too.

chocolatespiders · 30/05/2014 16:18

Thank you
Have uploaded run keeper .. Gutted that I won't be able to see the improvements from when I could only run 2 mins to when I did 60mins yesterday! Oh well I will survive!! Smile

Mapmyrun/GPS has lost me a couple of times too, but it's what I use. Did Race for Life 10k which it had as 10.06km which isn't a bad error rate.

You can also log other activities, such as swims, and use it for cycle rides to get a more complete idea of your physical exertions.

Lorna Jane seems more accurate than runkeeper with my runs

chocolatespiders · 30/05/2014 21:22

Not heard of that sweet- will have a look now

I've got runtastic. It's been great until today where it decided I'd run 1.9 miles in 3 minutes! I thought about phoning the Guinness book of records Grin

chocolatespiders · 31/05/2014 21:38

Ha ha

Endomondo tracked my run once and it included various bits of walking on water across the lake I was running around Smile

Runkeeper. it is more accurate if you turn the wifi off on your phone.

Before I did that it used to get all confused round my office , to the extent it told me I had run a mile in 4.38 minutes... I could train for years and not get a time like that Grin

BigStyleee · 02/06/2014 21:53

I use Strava - love it.

knitcorner · 02/06/2014 21:56

Karrimor have a free one that I've downloaded (but not yet used)

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 03/06/2014 04:19

Thanks for the tip, Fridayschild

chocolatespiders · 03/06/2014 19:32

That Friday thats good to know.
I managed to track a whole 5.97 k last night so I am happy with runkeeper Smile
