Anyone cycle with small kids?

I have two children. They are almost 3 and 10 months.

I want to get out on my bike more as busses are starting to grate! Confused

I already have a wee ride and now looking for something for the other child for nursery run.

I have three options ....

do I get a seat for the back and dump the bags in my bike basket?

Get a trail gator for the nearly 3 year old.

Get a bike trailer (am loathed to do this but not sure why!!)

What do you do if you cycle with children?

There's a question! We did the sit on trailer on the back and a bike purposefully built to be trailed and detached later on. You need to watch the length of both and our kids would throw stuff out en route like soft toys!! We liked the idea they did some of the pedalling once old enough.

hmmm I must admit, I am edging towards a trail gator! Three year old hasnt used a pushchair since before she was two (only occasionally now sits in her brothers seeing as he hates the bleeding thing) so a trailer feels like a step backwards!

So - trail gator owners, how do you rate them?!

How does the trail gator attach? If it attaches to the post under the saddle, it may not be compatible with a child seat.

We had a trailer for 2, and by the time it was outgrown they could do short rides on their own bikes. Rather depends how far your nursery run is.
