Shred thread for bed heads

I was going to join the existing May shred thread, but as a total novice I was a bit wary of all the higher-sounding levels and stuff. If there is anyone around and able to coax an absolute couch potato who has done almost no exercise since 1995, I'd be grateful. Similarly, if there are any other complete lazyboneses who fancy joining me, that'd be grand.

Also, a few questions if I may?

  1. Has anyone ever actually done the 30 days?
  2. When do you do it?
  3. What about after the 30 days? What then?
  4. Does it work? When do you start seeing results?
  5. How often do you do it?
  6. What about when you're away etc?

Thanks

I was gonna start it again on Monday so can join you if you want?

I do mine In the evening once DS is in bed or in the AM when he's asleep.

Measure your thighs, waist hips etc and do weekly measuring I lost about 3.5 inches after a week.

I took one day off a week but I aside you can take two or not take any

Great, thanks. I'm planning to start in the morning, early. I'm NOT an early riser but it's the only time I think I can fit it in.

Will do the measurements, great idea, that must be a real incentive.

Blameitonthemoonlight, I think I'd like to join in. I started about a month ago but only lasted a week before I got too "busy" to do it. I hope to make it downstairs while the kids are still asleep every morning.

My problem is not being completely sure that I'm doing the exercises correctly. I have virtually no strength in my core so I worry that I might be making my tummy pouch worse instead of better.

Oh you should go on that thread, it's nice honest, it's just a mix of people who've just started, people who've already done it and people plugging away at it...I use that thread as motivation to do it, it pops up with someone else having done it that day and it makes me get going, lol.

  1. Some people have...I haven't yet, I tried to do ripped in 30, found it pretty hard going, read that the shred was a bit easier so started that, got to the end of level 2 and took an unplanned week off over Easter - couldn't face jumping straight into level 3 so started again and now I'm on day 2 of level 3.
  1. I do it in the morning - because if I start doing anything else, I'll procrastinate so long that I'll just not do it, so my coffee and breakfast are my bribe, lol.
  1. I'm not sure really what I'm going to do, I'm still doing mostly the modified versions of everything...so I'm debating with myself whether to start again doing the harder versions or whether to move on to ripped on the easy ones and then working through both on the harder ones.
  1. It works, pretty quickly actually... You can feel yourself getting better at things in just a few days, by the time I'd done level 1 there were tiny muscles in my arms as opposed to just flab.

Other people have taken measurements and stuff, I haven't because I'm doing it alongside slimming world just to help tone me up and make me fitter while I lose weight as it's a pretty big weightloss I'm working on.

  1. I have 2 rest days a week, so 5 times a week, other people do it differently though.
  1. I'm never away, lol...I can't imagine ever being dedicated enough to do it on holiday, I'd just take that time off the same as I would my diet, if it was a day or two I'd just have those as my rest days.

I am on day 6 level 1 of 30 day shred. I am doing it as soon as I get in from work. If I stop and sit down its then too much effort to get going and do it. I think you find it easier after about day 5. I am planning to take rest days after every 5 days.

Well, I got up at ridiculous o'clock and did it. It made me feel queasy for ages afterwards, but I did it!

2 days, missed day 3 (late night, a cocktail or two...)

Anyone else?
