30 day shred and my knee - help please

So after reading rave reviews on here I've been shredding. I'm 3 days through level two and I've developed pain in my right knee. It's sort of underneath the right ride of my knee, more on the leg I suppose. I don't know if that description makes sense!

Anyway, I've rested since Friday and the twinge is still there. I don't want to give up because I can see the results but I'd rather not damage my knee forever.

I've also been doing. C25K but I've done that before and I'm pretty sure it's the shred that's causing the knee issue.

Any advice? Please Smile

I'm having the same problem, although I had some knee pain before I started. Aparently it's quite a common problem. The muscles around your knees might be weak, so you could try some knee strengthening exercises? I'm no expert though.

Yup, I had the same problem, except I only managed three days of Level 1 before I knackered my knees. Had to stop completely.
I reckon it was my poor star jump technique, but it took over a month to stop hurting.

Thank you. I'm thinking of trying a different DVD. But I don't know which one.

I had knee pain when I first started the shred. I advise taking it really easy, take a week or two to make sure your knee is better with no more twinges and when you're ready to return to the shred really concentrate on your form (don't allow your knee to go over your toes in squatting and lunging moves) and follow Anita for the lower impact moves.

I think mine was cause by having weak knee muscles that had never worked out before, it's completely fine now (16 days in)
