Running backpacks?

Does anyone run with a backpack? I'm just coming back to running and would like to be able to run to the swimming pool, maybe part of my commute. I'm looking for a small pack for some clothes and a quick dry towel. I want it to be very comfy though, and not bouncy abouty. Any recommendations?

I just use a small day pack (Wild Rover Peak 18) which I've had for years, but I never run very far with it (1-2 miles) as I organise my long runs to get away without it.

The OMM backpacks are great for running. Super light and come in a variety of sizes.

I've just run to the pool and back, and use a small daypack with waist strap, and it works fine. The worst thing is the straps flapping around, but some hair bobbles has fixed that

I've got a little Deuter speedlite. 15l capacity with a chest and waist strap. Is good, would recommend. I got mine from Wiggle.

Hi, thought I'd resurrect this thread to ask how the rucksacks mentioned work for a short back? I borrowed a karrimor running backpack which was slightly too long in the back for me and rubbed a bit at the top as a result. I was wondering if there were any women's versions available? TIA

93pjb - I am very short in the back and have the women-specific Nathan one here www.wiggle.co.uk/nathan-intensity-6l-womens-race-vest/?lang=en&curr=GBP&dest=1&kpid=5360628895&sku=5360628895&ci_src=18615224&ci_sku=5360628895uk&utm_source=google&utm_term&utm_campaign=All+Products&utm_medium=base&utm_content=s6BpKg9n9_dc%7Cpcrid%7C%7Cpkw%7C%7Cpmt%7C%7Cprd%7C5360628895uk - it fits me very well. It is tiny though - fine for water on a long run, or a micro fibre towel and spare underwear for swimming, but not much else.
