I don't know what I'll gain by running without it as am still going to manually log it in garmin connect - at this stage am ecstatic to be running at all to be honest - but I did one of my old trusty 5k routes three times, once walking, once running with dogs (one ate a WHOLE live rabbit yuck) and once on a horse
talking of running on empty my friend ran london marathon yesterday in a fasted state, and a bit quicker than the pace we were aiming to do Edinburgh in together - it's important for ultra runners to get used to not having fuel apparently
