iv just picked up a pair of karrimore D30 they seemed good in store and as I couldnt afford 100+ for more asics I thought id try them now iv got home and been googling it seems some from runners world have been a bit snotty about them. I run 5miles plus 5 days a week on the road any advice would be great

I have a friend who loves them.

I got my ascis for £60 online reduced from £140 from sportsshoes.com

I bought some and ended up returning them, they had barely any support. If you're running that often then you'll need decent shoes. Have a look online, you can probably get your Asics ones in last year's colours for about £50.

I've got karrimor walking shoes and they are fine plenty of support comfortable to walk for miles in and have lasted better than my northface ones I had previously.

I've not had karrimor running shoes but have asics I brought from sports direct for about £40.

Given the distinctly average quality of everything else that karrimor make, and the fact that they're now owned by sport direct with their attendant pressure on prices and cutting corners, I'd definitely stick to asics. Average quality is fine for most running clothing, and I have a lot of their stuff myself, but certainly not for shoes that do the mileage you do.

I got some as a present. Just awful, no support, no grip and and also came up small.

I bought some at the end of last year and they are pretty awful. Got some asics with my birthday money in January and the difference is vast. Just use the Karrimoor off road so I don't get my lovely Asics muddy.

I bought some D30 Karrimor runners back in March and found them to be the best running shoes I have ever bought, I then went back and bought a cheaper non D30 pair which I wore once I and not wear again, a world of difference.

After continuous use my D30 wore out at the heel, I went online and repurchased the same pair for half the price.

Karrimor D30s Yes, Cheap Karrimor, No.
