Sciatica and running

A few weeks ago I suffered an onset of very painful sciatica on my right side. But I am fairly fit and healthy and love running (generally run between 15 and 40 KM per week). Of course I stopped running but have been walking in the hills about 3 hours a week.

I now feel much better, but still feel a twinge when I twist in a certain position. What would the advice be about running? I'd hate to give it up, but I also don't want to start again too soon and I definitely want to avoid the pain.

I find that running sparks my sciatica a little but mine is a longstanding problem so I know where I am with it.

I practice yoga and that seems to help, if you search youtube for 'stretches to help sciatica' you should find some useful stuff.
