Is it possible to run with big boobs..?

I have often thought I would like to take up running. I'm a size 14 but have 34 G boobs. I think it would be quite painful to run with them and not sure if a sports bra would do the trick. Also worried about getting stretch marks!

Does anyone have any experience of this and any advice at all...?

Yep course it is you just need a good sports bra - Shock Absorber or Panache or Freya Active do good ones. And when I started mine were bigger than yours but they are now down three cup sizes :-)

Please ooh I'd bloody love them to go down that much!

Doesn't it hurt to run with them tho.?

I'm a 30ff, but my friend is a 34J and she runs further than me! A good sports bra, properly fitted is what you need. On really long runs (over 15 miles) friend wears two bras.

Have a trip to Bravissimo!

30GG here and I have a shock absorber. They don't move at all. Not a problem, no pain or stretch marks.

Get the firmest sports bra you can find and you'll be fine.

i have enell front fastening. i'm an e cup but I'm evangelical about it. You cannot run without a proper (non high street brand iyswim) specialist bra. You will also look magnificent, trust me! I used lessbounce.com to get the right make - but yes a proper sports shop should help.

Never go running if your breasts are larger than your head.....

DrunkenFlamingo · 04/02/2014 21:11

Mine are 36F and I find a shock absorber bra with a sports vest top over it (they normally have a built in 'bra' bit) does the trick nicely.

stilllearnin · 04/02/2014 21:14

my head is massive...it's all my brains, you see! Wink

Lizzylou · 04/02/2014 21:14

My first shock absorber was 34gg, am now an f cup, but never any jiggle.
I think investing in a really good sports bra is as important as good trainers tbh.
Oh and no stretch marks.

I'm 34G as well. I run several times a week and wear an Enell size 2. It's a great sports bra.

sarahandduck · 04/02/2014 21:17

I'm 34FF and wear a shock absorber to run. There's absolutely no movement at all.

Littlefish · 04/02/2014 21:25

I'm a 32/34 JJ/K cup and really struggle to find a sports bra to fit, let alone one which is supportive enough to run in,

JazzyCardi · 04/02/2014 21:32

I'm a 36E and every sports bra I've ever owned has squashed my boobs together into a big blob at the front, meaning I have to wear them over a traditional wired bra.

I like the look of the Enell bras but can't see what's different about them.

Piscivorus · 04/02/2014 21:37

I also recommend the Enell bras. Look like something out of an S&M catalogue but nothing moves at all probably because the bra almost goes up to your chin

I keep intending to run but haven't yet. Just from going to a personal trainer once a week I have come down a size in Enells

Mindboggle · 04/02/2014 21:37

32G I wear a shock absorber sports bra plus a vest top with an elasticated bra thingy. That works for me
