You know, the one that always makes you pick up your pace, however knackered you are.

I need some new tunes on my running playlist to get my arse motivated in this hideous weather.

Not my usual music at all, but Lady Gaga's Bad Romance always gives me a boost.

CMOTDibbler · 06/01/2014 18:32

I like lots of AC/DC - Back in Black always makes me smile while I'm running

TheGoodLadyWife · 06/01/2014 18:33

My greenday american idiot album! Boosted me for the last ten years at least!

mscnile · 06/01/2014 18:33

Stereophonics Bartender and the thief

CQ · 06/01/2014 18:35

No excuses necessary peeved - doesn't matter if it's embarrassing, as long as it hits the right buttons Smile I have done La Gaga's Just Dance to death, but you're right, Bad Romance is a good boost.

One of my best motivating tracks at the moment is Rebel Yell by Billy Idol. Now you see why I need some new ideas Blush

Anyone else? I need about 2 hours worth of music on shuffle so I get a different combination every time.

Will be looking up Greenday and AC/DC - already have Run to the Hills (Iron Maiden) on the list - that really kicks it up a gear.

I love Stereophonics but never thought of it as running music - will have to have another listen.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, much appreciated.

Flashlight on the album Halcyon Days by Ellie Goulding - it's all good.

BikeRunSki · 06/01/2014 21:47

Yy to American Idiot. The album takes me 10k.

VivaLeBeaver · 06/01/2014 21:48

Muse, supermassive blackhole.

Bankholidaybaby · 06/01/2014 21:48

Hey ya by Outkast. I always seem to run faster when that comes on.

Sammie101 · 06/01/2014 21:49

Kanye West (Confused) Work Out Plan, it just makes me laugh!

standupandbecountered · 06/01/2014 21:52

Queens of the Stone Age - No-one Knows

LittleIllusionMachine · 06/01/2014 21:54

Don't Stop Movin' by Livin Joy is THE best running song ever!

PiperChapman · 06/01/2014 21:55

Fire by kasabian

Not giving in by rudimental

Meglet · 06/01/2014 21:58

Another vote for Queens of the Stone Age - No one Knows. I need a bit of dirty dirty rock 'n' roll when I'm being good and healthy.

Lady Gaga - Telephone is a close second.

PavlovtheCat · 06/01/2014 22:01

Oh yes to QOTSA! Dodododo Do dododo. I love this to run to. Or rather to use on cross trainer as cant run at the moment.

Strangely, quite a lot of Frank Turner is good to run to. Plain Sailing Weather or Recovery, or for some old stuff, Photosynthesis.

And of course. Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen. Oh yes!

mscnile · 06/01/2014 22:02

CQ I have some odd taste in running musc, perhaps cos I'm pretty slow! I also enjoy Johnny cash for running, nice steady pace! The fratellis are good for upping the pace.

msmoss · 06/01/2014 22:02

Masimo Park - our velocity
Faithless - insomnia
DJ Messiah - Access
Hairspray cast - can't stop the beat

I love listening to music when I running but am getting a bit bored of my play list will watch this with interest.

PavlovtheCat · 06/01/2014 22:02

I love Welcome to Hell as a Get Through It song! Also love several others on that album for running through the tough bits.

FrazzleRock · 06/01/2014 22:07

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way
The Stone Roses - She Bangs The Drums
M.I.A - Bad Girls
Tinie Tempah - Pass Out
Janelle Monae - Tightrope
Pendulum - Propane Nightmares

All of these are excellent running tracks for me!

HomerPigeon · 06/01/2014 22:17

Lose Yourself -Eminem
Delirium - Sarah Mclachlan and Tiesto (I think)
Stronger - Kanye West
Don't Give Up - Chicane
Kids - MGMT
Work Bitch - Britney (am ashamed about this one but it works)
Drop Dead Gorgeous - Republica
Greyhound - Swedish House Mafia

I just wanna run - the downtown fiction.

Some great suggestions here which I am adding to my playlist. It's reminded me to edit my list - I keep getting thrown by Humpty Dumpty that wasslipped in one day with ds!
