How long before change in bodyshape

I have booked 4 1: 1 personal training sessions for an hour each time for the next 4 weeks. We are concentrating on meta fit type exercises.

With a relatively low carb diet would I be unreasonable to expect to see some change in body shape or am I being over optimistic.

I have 2 1/2 stone to lose but in the past have lost motivation ( hence the personal training and booking 16 sessions)

Hiya, I'm a PT and it's great that you've got someone to help you get started with your goals - you can definitely achieve a lot more with someone than you can on your own.

It takes a while to get proper results but you can certainly get a good start and feel great in 4 weeks, provided (as I'm sure your PT has told you) that you put in extra workouts outside your sessions and stick to your eating plan.

Most PT's will give you a workout plan to do when they're not there that you can do at home or in the gym. It'll will also give you an idea of how to carry on yourself once the 4 weeks is up.

Make sure you have your measurements taken when you start and then every month. Even if you're not feeling you've lost anything, seeing a couple of inches come off the tape measure is a fantastic and very motivating feeling.

Good luck with it!

Just reread your thread and looks like you're seeing a PT 4 times a week for 4 weeks? You'll be fine then with all that, definitely getting put through your paces! Stick to your eating plan, take measurements and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you can achieve in 4 weeks Smile

Yes I have booked 16 sessions to give me a boost. The eating plan has gone out of the window for a few days. Only two sessions thus week but back to normal on Monday!

I bet you see results in that time. I did the Shred earlier this year (on and off) - never managed more than 4 sessions a week and usually more like 3, and even still I could see myself toning up after the first week. I never made it past about Day 15 partly because I could see the results on my arms and tummy! So I bet your personal trainer sessions give you great results. Good luck!
