Anyone struggling with c25k now it's winter?

I'm on wk 6 of c25k and the buzz is wearing off. Or rather the buzz I get from running is now smaller than the pain in the arse feeling of going out in the wind and the rain and the cold. Confused

Is anyone else struggling with motivation now it's winter?

Am seriously thinking of quitting/ swapping running for swimming.

I'm the same. I graduated from c25k a couple of weeks ago, but have been trying to run 5-6k 3 times a week. I am really finding it difficult to motivate myself now it is so cold. Once I get started I'm not so bad, but the first km is horrible. I keep telling myself that in 45 mins I will be back home in the heat (I'm rather slow Blush ), and try to schedule my run so that I come in from work, sort my DD's, get changed and head straight out the door. Any procrastination and I don't think I would bother!

But you have come this far, so definitely don't give up now Smile

Well done for getting that far! :)
I think part of the problem is that I have to wait until dh is home. I dot get out to run until 7.30ish so it's late and dark and miserable weather by then. If I could run earlier it might be better...

Hi, a couple of things I've done is made sure the route that I run is quite sheltered & not in a open area so that I don't get battered by the wind & if it's so bad I go the next day but I don't allow myself to get out of it that day I just wait for a dry spell. The other thing is it will be over in just a bit more than 30mins. Keep at it!!

Noooo. Running in the cold is fab!

Where are you OP? I'd run with you happily.

And remember that running into a hard head-wind is as good as hill training, but with less chance of injury.
