I have just entered (along with DS age 8) into a triathlon next September but do literally NO exercise at all - where do I start & is this complete madness?
DS is a keen runner/cyclist already & having been to watch my BIL doing one a few years back he's been waiting for his chance all this time so I know he'll commit to it & I really want to support him (plus need a kick up the backside to get back into proper regular exercise.)
So, a not insignificant sum of money has been paid & there's no backing out now but where on earth do I start?! Probably should add I am a good 3 stone overweight with a BMI of 35
. I'm thinking a weekly swim + couch to 5k just to get a basic level of fitness before the New Year then possibly booking some swimming lessons as this is definitely my weakest area (well everything's weak ATM but historically I could run/cycle ok
)
