Ok well not quite 5k but more like C230 mins as I'm not yet managing 5k only 4.73k at a pace of 11.02. So just wondering what next? Can I call myself a runner yet?

Also when does the transformation take place from a purple lolloping mass into one of those swan-like figures that glide across the pavement looking immaculate and nonplussed even though they've just run about 15k????

Yes, you're a runner now! I don't think anyone manages to run 5k in 30 mins at the end of C25k.

A lot of people sign up to their local Parkrun once they finish C25k, it's great fun and there are all sorts that go so don't worry about it being loads of serious runners and you. There are people that walk the whole thing at my local one.

As for the gliding swan- fuck knows, I still look like crap after 2k and I finished C25k in April. Grin

Well done!

Keep on running, that's the main thing! Parkruns are good, but if you can't manage the early saturday morning start just run whenever you can, try to kepe up 3 or 4 runs a week for 30 mins.

Then, start to work on your speed or your distance.

When your fitness is really up and you run slower than your maximum speed you won't look like a "purple lolloping mass" anymore! I tell myself I still look like that because I am running at my limit Grin
