This is meant to be a bit inspirational (with only a slight stealth brag).
I started couch25k in mid February this year. It wasn't easy. I still remember being elated the first time I ran for 5 minutes, then 8, my first 3k without stopping and finally the absolute joy of doing it. I succeed at c25k. And then the what next. I had a mad idea, I signed up and ran a 10k in June. And with a million injuries, shoulder spasms, flying backward of treadmills and little daily hurdles today I ran a half marathon. It hurt. But I could never have imagined 9 months ago that I would run 5k let alone a half marathon.
I know distance running isn't for everyone but if you want to get fit, feel an amazing sense of achievement, join a huge group of like minded folk then c25k is an awesome start.
So if you're thinking of it just fucking do it. You could amaze yourself.
